In my opinion, no. Unless it involves a major issue that impacts the game itself (like last year’s Bounty-Gate scandal in New Orleans), then teams should be able to deal with these matters internally, like the Denver Broncos did with there executives. The men in the front office are not the men who define the league’s image, it is the the players on the field who are scrutinized for their off-field activities and should be held accountable by the NFL. While this doesn’t mean executives should get off scot free, I am of the opinion that teams can set their own standards of how to punish executives who put the organization in a bad light.
